Weekend at Mom's

My Sisters and I spent a weekend visiting our mother in Salem. We had a wonderful visit and was able to clean up mom's yard for the winter. My mother is a 'Master Gardener', unfortunately, not true of myself or my sisters. We put forth our best effort and had fun acting like we knew what were doing! Mom's yard survived inspite of our efforts!

We had a real storm yesterday! Unusual for here! It actually blew over several potted plants and a rose tree. No real damange, just lots of leaves to clean up!

Amanda's Sister's Wedding

Rick just celebrated another birthday. This year he decided to start riding a bike again. I bought him a new bike for his birthday.

Fall is here!

Fall is finally here. My favorite time of the year. I love the brisk feeling of the morning air as the sun warms my skin. It is also a beautiful time of the year.

Amanda was here for a quick visit late August. She shares a love of photography with Rick. She became the happy owner of one of Rick's cameras. It is a manual camera which will give Amanda the opportunity to learn new photograpy skills. We can look forward to more pictures in her 'Blog'!

Mom's Visit

Mom decided she would drive to Calilfornia (alone). I admit I was a bit concerned over her driving so far alone but she did fine. We had a wonderful visit. My sister, Debbie drove over from Santa Barbara to spend a day with us.

Out for a morning walk. It was a beautiful morning. We decided to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the warm sunshine and admire the various gardens along the way.

Hello,

April has been an exciting month for us. Our son 'Adam' was married on April 11th, less than 48 hours after getting in engaged! It was a whirlwind planning but very fun and everything turned out beautiful. My only regret was such a short notice didn't allow time for many of Adam's family to attend (everyone lives in Oregon or Washington). These are a few pictures of our happy couple.

Guess who Rick is posing with? Here is a hint: He flys around the world Christmas Eve and leaves gifts under your tree!

Guess who we ran into during our cruise! Yes, Santa Claus! He was enjoying a little relaxation following Christmas! He looks a little different without his official Santa Suit!

Rick and I celebrated our 26th wedding aniversary cruising! We enjoyed 4-nights on the ship 'Paradise' traveling between Long Beach California and Ensenada Mexico! Note the sunshines late January!

Boot-Camp Graduation

Adam graduated from Boot-Camp on January 29th. He is still in Oklahoma. He started his AIT on Monday, February 2nd. This training will last about 7 weeks. He hopes to come home for a while after he completes AIT, before he goes to his first duty station.
